Maxol launches online grocery and food delivery service

30 Apr , 2026

Maxol has launched a new digitally enabled food delivery service, allowing customers to order freshly cooked meals and a selection of groceries and treats direct to their door from their local service station.

From today, the new service is live at the first three Maxol stores – Newbridge (Kildare), Ardbrae (Wicklow) and the newly redeveloped Long Mile Road store (Dublin) – where customers can order food throughout the day via Just Eat. This is the first phase of a planned national rollout to over 60 locations and more home delivery options with Uber Eats and Deliveroo will be available soon.

In addition to the meal delivery service, customers can also order a selection of Maxol’s most popular convenience grocery items as part of the same digital experience such as bread, milk, savoury snacks, confectionery, soft drinks, alcohol and other everyday essentials, making it easier to combine dinner with a convenience shop in one delivery.

Reflecting changing eating habits and the growing demand for convenient, high-quality meals beyond breakfast and lunch, the service, which is new to Ireland, has been developed in partnership with international food-tech company Noahs.

Made locally

Customers in Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare can now choose from a range of delivery-optimised dishes, freshly prepared in their local Maxol store. Initial menus include Mexican-style bowls from Bowly, a pizza range made with handmade dough from Pizza Nova, taco and burrito meals from La Taqueria, and Cheeky Chicken, with additional cuisines and food brands to follow.

Brian Donaldson, CEO of Maxol, said: “At Maxol, we’re focused on meeting our customers’ needs by expanding our food offering with high-quality, freshly prepped meals that fit into busy routines – at any time of day. This new service allows us to extend our food proposition beyond breakfast and lunch, giving customers in Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare access to high-quality, cooked-to-order meals delivered straight to their door from their local Maxol service station.

“This latest initiative is another step in delivering on our promise to offer customers bags more. We’re now bringing that added value straight to their door not only with a selection of really tasty meal options such as pizza and burritos, but also a wide range of grocery and confectionery items in one simple, seamless online experience.”

Menus have been developed with the support of professional chefs and are designed specifically for delivery, ensuring meals travel well without compromising on quality.

Daniel Baven, CEO and co-founder of Noahs, said: “Partnering with an Irish-owned company like Maxol for our entry into Ireland is exactly the right fit. Our technology turns a service station into a fully digital food operation — one ordering experience, one kitchen, one delivery — so customers can get a freshly cooked meal and their everyday essentials without juggling apps. It’s a model that’s already working at scale across Europe, and I’m confident Maxol customers across Ireland are going to love it.”

In-store kiosks

Maxol has also introduced in-store digital ordering kiosks at selected stores designed to enhance speed, convenience and choice for busy shoppers. Customers can easily browse menus, customise orders, and choose how they order in-store, helping to reduce wait times while creating a more flexible and intuitive experience.

Brian Donaldson added that while Maxol’s new digital kiosks will make for a more seamless meal order experience, they will be complemented by the friendly, personal service for which Maxol stores are known.

All-day Maxol Deli

With food now as important to Maxol customers as fuel, the company has also taken the decision to extend the opening hours of its instore Maxol Delis beyond the traditional 3pm close to 10pm, reinforcing its role as the go-to convenient food destination for communities and commuters alike.
